Liffey Descent ICU membership
Douchier:
By the way, you should also have ICU membership if you're planning on entering any other competition, going for instructorships or just simply want to vote in the AGM.
I'm saying this especially for anyone who wants to enter the DCPL ( that's the polo league, for those of you that have forgotten) that's coming up in Autumn.

Hey Yu/Hugh,
PMing Bill details is to get Irish Canoe Union membership, which is pretty useful if you're kayaking regularly or taking part in activities like those Niall mentioned above. You can apply for it on your own, but applying through the club is less expensive.
You do need ICU membership to take part in the Liffey Descent, but sign up for the race itself is separate to the club. Also, if you don't have a level 3 cert you'd need an instructor to vouch for you and sign you off. It's a marathon and the Liffey will be higher for it than what we're used to on club trips, the ESB make a special release from the dam, I was amazed to see the difference last year!
