FRESHERS WEEKEND!!!

FRESHERS WEEKEND!!!

The time has come once again for the canoe club to gather its freshers and go on tour!
This year we are travelling to the distant and exotic land of TRAMORE, Co. Waterford!

When? October 14th-16th!

The weekend costs €55, get your money to Jer as soon as possible, at either the lunches, pool session or river trip

Trailer packing begins at 3pm at the boathouse, come help out and get yourself the nicest gear and boats! Then we will head to the student bar. Make sure to be at the student bar by 6pm because the bus will be leaving soon after from outside engineering! We'll be back on Sunday evening around 7-8pm!

BRING

For kayaking:
Towel
Togs
Old Shoes
Thermals (fleeces, tights work well for keeping your legs warm, thermal tops/trousers, NEVER anything woolen or cotton etc)
If you have a wetsuit or any kayaking gear, bring it! If not, no worries, the club has it all

Other:
DRINK - The club will provide some drink for Saturday night, but you can bring your own for Friday and extra for Saturday if you so wish! (There will be shops nearby)
FOOD - Food will be provided, but not on the Friday as we will be getting there late so eat beforehand, but bring spare food incase you are likely to get hungry
FANCY DRESS COSTUME - Possibly the most important part of the weekend, more so than the kayaking, drinking and eating combined... The FANCY DRESS PARTY on Saturday night! You can dress up as anything you heart wishes, and it's some amount of craic!
Money - We might heading out to the pub on the Saturday to scare the locals so bring a bit of money, or in case you want to get anything from the shop

Sleeping bag - optional. Should be beds and duvets, just if your worried they'll run out, or want to be extra warm...

Post up any questions you might have!
