Dublin Canoe Polo League - The Situation

Matt Flood · January 06, 2012, 00:49:31

ATTENTION ALL POLO PLAYERS
DO NOT BE OVERWHELMED BY THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE! IT'S QUITE EXPLANITORY

DCPL is upon us shortly so lets get the show on the road

I have entered two teams of general equal strength into Div. 4 for this season.
The teams are as follows:

UCDCC CRINGECATS:

1 Dave OReilly
2 Helena Coughlan
3 Diarnuid Ryan
4 Derv McAuley
5 Cormac Roche
6 Shannon OHiggins
7 Niall Finch
8 Anne-Marie Videbaek

UCDCC BROWNBEARS:

1 Gareth Toolan
2 Roisin Mossop
3 Garbhan Gorman
4 Eimear Nolan
5 Cillian Totterdell
6 Dani Maguire
7 Evan OKeeffe
8 Aisling Walsh
9 Karen Vejsbjerg
10 Jean Kelly

So, as mentioned before, it'll cost each player €10 to play for this season. A bargain considering the cost of entering a full team. Most of you are on Teamer.net already. I will be trying to modify the accounts to put it into the format of the team lists above soon.

Only 4 people can play at any one time. Taking into consideration the possible attendance of people throughout the year we have decided to make large teams so that on a given night we will always have a full team (+ a couple of subs). In the case of there being so many people available or a situation where players miss a night there is a back up plan. Given the hour of the night at which I am writing this topic I shall explain that later.

I will inform teams of there matches each applicable week. However, as Coach, I strongly advise/DEMAND!!! that each player view and monitor their teams match calendar. All info is available on the DCPL Brownbears Schedule and the DCPL Cringecats Schedule
Please familiarise yourself with this site (It's straightforward): www.dublincanoepolo.ie

I shall be in touch shortly [hopefully... My internet is pants $:-\$ ].

PS. Now that Kerry is over, everyone must start a steroid diet asap.

Polo watching requires at least one bottle of buckfast per spectator.
