River Trip Saturday 21st January & Other News!

Merry 2011 errybody!

As always we are having a Pool Session this Thursday!
For any newcomers the plan of action is we meet at the gates of Trinity College in town before 6.30pm, when we leave to wander off to the magical place that is the Sean McDermott St Swimming Pool, followed by a few well deserved pints at the pub!

What You'll Need:
- Togs
- Towel
- Shower things
- €2 for the pool
- Extra €s for the pub if you want to come along!


Our next order of business is this Saturdays River Trip!

In anticipation of this years intervarsities (17th - 19th February, more info coming soon!), this weekend we will be doing some training with some different boats to prepare everyone for some of the different events happening!

Hi guys,
Here's the dealio with what's going down on Saturday.

Everyone has to make their own way to the Wildwater Kayak Club [WWKC] in the Strawberry Beds.
Here's a map I've made to get ye there by car/bus -> MAP!
There are Fun Facts in the map notations that are fun aaaand educational 

There will be some people driving from UCD with a few boats. If you want a lift, contact them and be in UCD to help them with the loading of boats on cars.The rest of you can use public transport which is outlined in the map.
We are actually heading to the ICU training centre which is under the M50 toll bridge. When people get off the bus and head towards WWKC, car folk will ferry you the rest of the way.

Try to be at WWKC for 11.30am please.

Next week is Refreshers Week where we rope in some new blood to the club, so tell all your friends, family and anyone you happen to stumble across in college about how amazing we are and that they should join

Finally, as I'm sure you've all heard, the UCDCC 35th Anniversary Ball is coming up!
The ball is one of the highlights every year, great craic is had by all and I thoroughly suggest you buy your ticket as soon as possible! For all the info Roger has kindly made a facebook event where you can ask questions, see who's going and exclaim how excited you are to attend the rare occasion where you can see people out of their wetsuits and into their finest formal wear!

You all have to start practicing for the BoaterX as well! so whenever your next to someone on the next river trip push them over! remember the more aggressive you are the better your chances of winning.

Anyone swimming? leave them........ your practicing for a BoaterX you don't help swimmers its all about number one!
