Varsities! (17th - 19th February)

[Dani]

Varsities is upon us!

This weekend there will be no river trip, as the UCDCC are travelling to the far and distant land of Castlebar, Mayo!

The trip will cost €55, so get your money to Jer as soon as you can! He'll be skulking arounf the lunches on Monday and Tuesday as well as the pool and pub on Thursday

Bus leaves at 6pm on Friday 17th January (Polo players will be leaving on Friday Morning, Coach should have all the info) and we will be returning on the evening of the 19th.

What you'll need:
-Kayaking Gear
-Sleeping Bag
-Money for Extra Food/Drink
-Fancy Dress Costume

Varsities is the one time of the year where we actually compete in real life competitions that only sometimes involves how amazing at drinking and fancy dress we are, so everyone should try come along and show of some BROWN UCDCC Kayaking Skills!

Best of luck to everyone planning to compete, do us proud!

[kmck]

Here is some motivation!

Play hard, drink hard and just be yourselves.

[Jer]

I'll be at the board on Tuesday at one and at the pool session on Thursday.

If anyone wants to pay on Wednesday gimmie a shout, I'll be around at 12 and 2, might have lunch at the board at 2.

[Bill C]

Deadline for entering competition:

Long distance is our big send off, and it's really worth everyone competing in and showing our numbers!

Peace, out.

[Nuala]

Count me in, hooray!

I won't be around at all until Friday so can either pay Jer then, or Bill before then.

And will anyone with roofracks be driving to the pool on Thursday? I need to get a boat from Northside to the boathouse.

[Eoghan]

News just in - polo peeps lost 4-2 in their first match, 3/1 odds of being wildcard. A few prayers to the big man and boom got the wildcard and got a bye to the quarter final...a woo!

[Nuala]

I've no idea how that works but hooray!

[Eoghan]

ha yeah we got beaten so got into the quarter finals

there was an uneven no of teams i think so there was a wildcard, me thinks...

[kmck]

So how'd you get on? I hope there is a huge amount of gossip! Remember the bus ride home is the ideal time to study for exams

[Diarmuid]

2nd overall!

[kmck]

[Matt]
