Story bud.

There'll be a ranking marathon race run on May 27th in Enniskillen. It'll be a great chance to develop that talent that we all saw at varsities. It's a couple of hours from Dublin, but more importantly only about 40 minutes from my Mum's house. She's guaranteed to give you tea and hospitality or more likely, supervise as I do.

Whaduzzya reckonaz? Anyone interested?

Because if you are...

Then there's this!

Marathon Training!
Coming to a river near you (specifically the liffey).

There's a nice chap in WWKC willing to give us some coaching and let us use their equipment.

He said that we can come along on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, or on Saturday or Sunday mornings ( I think that Sunday would be best, they're pretty busy on Saturdays).
Realistically that would be this Thursday, Sunday morning, or Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

If we can agree a day or a couple of days when a number of us want to go then we should run with this.

Please post up if you're interested in the race and the training (and what day)

Yup, as a wise man once said...BAM!

Any more takers?

I really think that learning marathon technique is really great for developing core rotation and generally a good base for all your paddling.

Wednesday of next week?

Yes, I'm free for the race now.
I've never done one before, how long is it?

I'd only do it if I'd done training first, so I'm very interested in putting my name down for that.
I don't know about next Wednesday (assignments, ear not healed yet) but it could be good to do something outdoors.
I hope to be able to go.
Would we get to use cool boats?

You shouldn't need your ear too much.
