Galway Jul7-8, Polo and Boater-x

No really.

It seems that they're organising a little something-something to coincide with the Volvo ocean race that weekend.

The polo will be on Saturday won't be the normal team entry, you'll be entering as individuals and they're going to pick teams at (almost) random. Good innit? Venue will be in the Claddagh basin (same as before)

The boater-X will be on the Sunday. I don't have any detail for it yet but I'll assume that it'll be on the Boluisce and be very similar to Galway-fest from January. It's a Grade3 river and should take 5-6 min.
Or it could be a completely different format, but probably still on the Boluisce. If that's the case then you'll want to  be at least at a L3 standard, but should be comfortable on grade 3.

More to follow.

There's a div 1 only competition on the sunday. But it's the mixed bag thing on the saturday.
Sounds like a good laugh to me.

Canoe Ireland, the name was changed around three years ago to fit in with all the other sporting organisations!

Anyway

It seems that they're allowing a couple of teams to enter as teams as they want.

Personally I really like the mixed bag idea and would like to go for that. If there are enough people for a team then I'll happily enter it.

Everyone good to get their own entries in?

Hey folks, just a reminder that this is all individual entry and that you'll need to send an email to info@galwaykayakclub.com to tell them that you want to enter ASAP!
