What a can of worms. Being an oldie is a state of mind, it can't be dictated to you. Arguing oldie status, like organising teams this early, is as futile as two oldies arguing over a comb. I'm an oldie, my presence on a team will be bought or sold in cans of Bavaria in the eddie at the start line.

I think he means that oldies are really old and therefore bald and therefore don't need combs, so arguing over them is pointless.
That or I'm missing out on a world of comb passion.

As for organising teams "too early" it's not a bad thing if it means people go out paddling between now and the ball and learn some stuff or meet new people :)
