Potential Canoeing Ireland Alps course, Slovenia 2013

Hey everyone, just got this email from Benny (Development Officer for Canoeing Ireland and UCDCC ex-Captain)

I did a course like this last summer and can't recommend it highly enough. Best thing I've ever done for my own kayaking and also a great trip (Slovenia's beautiful).

Hi guys,

As one of the Irish course providers Alps trips has been cancelled I am emailing to put the feelers out for a potential Canoeing Ireland Alps trip to Slovenia in June 2013.  The trip would cost €1,050 and would run over two weeks from

Thursday 6th June to Tuesday 11th June Progression Course – Advanced Paddling – Level 4 Skills Standard – 12 Spaces
Thursday 13th June to Tuesday 18th June Essentials Course – Intermediate Paddling – Level 3 Skills Standard – 12 Spaces

Trip would include the usual benefits.

Accommodation and food in 3 star hotel in the centre of Bovec
All on the water instruction included with ratios not exceeding 1:4 plus one safety boater
Demo boat available or we will transport your equipment over and back for you on the minibus

Flights are coming in around €150 return with Ryanair at present to fly Wednesday to Wednesday.  If you rent a car to do the airport transfer in groups of 4 car rental will come in under €50 per person.

Please let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested in the trip as I will try to make a final call on whether it will go ahead or not at the end of next week.
