Fort William March 2013
« on: February 16, 2013, 18:07:13 »
I have a bucket list of 4 drops I have looked at and not paddled and want to paddle.  This is one of them. http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/rivers/scotland/west-highlands/photos/river-etive-right-angle-falls

So who wants to Fort William for 3 to 4 days during the 2 weeks off around St. Patricks day?

It will cost about 150euro per person ( assuming 3 people per car ) to get to and from Fort William. Two cars/6 people minimum required.

Hostel accommodation is about 15euro per night there.

Planing to paddle the Etive (Upper and Lower section ), River Roy and similar rivers. Read this as grade 4s with the odd grade 5, avoiding grade 3s with the odd bit of 4.

Bit of ambitious plan. So who is up for it. I will be emailing a few other people outside the club to get the numbers up.

Could you drive to Scotland?
So far Dave O'R, Simon H, and Bill C are drivers that can't go.

Plan is not coming together, in fact its being cancelled. Lack of interest being the main reason.
