Kerry 2013 - 2014
Diarmuid:
What's cracking lovely lads and ladies?
What is it? Mutha'fuckin New Years trip
When is it? 27 December - 3 January
Where is it? Glenbeigh, Co Kerry
Who should attend? Everyone, you'll seriously miss out if you don't!
So, we're into the month of Procrastination (December), it's getting close to that time of the year where we settle into our most expansive trousers after a heavy Chistmas's eating, ask the mammy to cut the leftover turkey into sambos (if you don't eat them, I will) and head away down the country. This all means that it's time to start planning yourself for the joint-best half-week of 2013 and 2014*! We'll be staying in the luxurious Clearwater Holiday Homes in the village of Glenbeigh, Co Kerry!
There'll be Kayaking every day (party every night), with daily trips to the Lower Caragh, Surf, Upper Caragh and further afield I'm sure. ;) As usual we will be hosting our yearly Table Quiz on the 30th at our (in)famous nightly venue, The Ross Inn who'll be putting on an even better New year's Party than last year!
--- Quote from: Diarmuid on December 16, 2013, 18:50:16 ---Hi guys,
Just a quick reminder, anyone who wants to get gear out for Kerry, please organise to do so before Kerry itself. All committee members will be in Kerry for the full week (whoo) and will be unable to open the boathouse.
At minimum the boathouse will be open this Saturday 20th between 1200-1500 and also on the morning of the 27th.
If this does not suit you please just give myself or another committee member a text / call and we'll sort you out whenever :)
Merry Kerry,
D

The ridiculously cheap prices (including accomodation AND food) will be as follows:
1 Nights: €20
2 Nights: €35
3 Nights: €50
4 Nights: €60
5 Nights: €70
6 Nights: €80
7 Nights: Only €80!!
Money can be paid either in advance or down in Kerry, whichever suits really!
If you're driving down / looking for a lift please discuss that here. The best way to be assured of a lift is to ring the person that you're asking :)
*the best week of the student year may have been a better way of writing this

NML Notes
Hey Guys!!! Aoife (your friendly NML) doing a sneaky edit here ;)
So all you Freshers (and EVERYONE ELSE) better be down at Kerry at some point this year!!!
This week is the best craic ever!!! As in you'll be planning your 14/15 Chrimbo hols to include Kerry before you even leave this year!!! This week is also great for meeting ALL the kayakers from the different Uni's and Colleges from around Ireland and even some from the UK ;D
For those of yous who are enjoying the social end of the club, this week is the week for you!!! While there will be Kayaking available everyday, there's no pressure to go! There'll always be a few people around just chilling/sleeping/getting ahead with the boozing for the next party...
For this trip there wont be any bus down!! But don't freak out!!!! Get on to the post for lifts to Kerry and nab yourself a lift down!!! Don't worry if you don't know the person who you're getting the lift with...you'll be besto's with them by the end of the week :D
For those of you who think you don't know enough people in the club to spend a week with us...I only knew the names of three people going down last year...I left with a few new best friends, seven nights of hilarious memories and a new found love of 'rock the boat'!! afro.gif
This week is not one to miss!!!
