Hi Everyone,
With less than 2 weeks to go the count down to the ball is on! We will hopefully run a boaterX on the morning of the ball. Entry cost is 5euro per paddler. All funds go into a kitty which is spent, in its entirety on gargle to be handed back to you as prizes.
The Events are as follows:
(1) Fun BoaterX- Teams of three paddlers (1 Oldie, 1 college type and 1 fresher) race from the eddy at the top of the run in to Jacksons to below Jacksons. This race is against the clock and teams can have time removed for completing a number of tasks along the way.
(2) Sport BoaterX- Individual time trial over the same course (open to everyone with a level 3 cert). Top times qualify for finals which will be boaterX format head-to-head
(3) In till you swim (time permitting)- Entertain the judges by being savagely eaten by the hole in Jacksons. Winner will be pick arbitrarily on the savagery of the beating and quality of any intentional or unintentional freestyle move performed
Start time will be 10:00am and off the water by 13.30/14:00 at the latest so that we can watch the match.
