Cormac, my normal excitement for paddling an outlaw has just gone up tenfold!

Times have moved on. So much, you might even get an Outlaw for nearly free is you posted on the canoes and kayaks for sale thing in FB.

My own two cents would be to take up Niall B on his offer, and wait until you know what you want, because you will feel the outlaw limiting as you improve over the next few months.

Have you been in a playboat yet Andy? Give it a shot, you might enjoy it more than an outlaw...

Yes I've had a lash in a playboat, still have to out the outlaw above it in terms of the fun scale. It may well begin to limit me, but then again I may not hold into it for ages either.

These lads are all mad to get rid of their boats

Most of them will be falling apart and be more repair than kayak but there might be something useful. They'll be dirt cheap but you'll have virtually no chance of selling one on when you're done.

But yeah. Whatever you end up with, I'm going to want to have a go.

Was just about to link that. There's also a Riot Disco further down the page - Ross likes those so would know more. What playboat have you tried? Was it a G-Force? Cause I'd fully agree that they're not always as much fun as an Outlaw or an Inazone.

Is it the all star in the pool? Also messed about in one of UL's playboats in their pool . . . Dagger, can't remember the make. Though comparing river and pool experiences is dangerous . . .

It's a 2010 Star in the pool, which is a size smaller than an Allstar
