I'm hoping to do it too, was thinking of doing it in the wavehopper. I think Dave O'R is doing it in the Gola Sprint.

Has there been any word about rescue for this yet? It's the Saturday before college starts back so people should be in Dublin

You're thinking of the Junior Liffey Descent on the 6th of September, the full Liffey Descent is on the 4th of October.

Benny will email the club closer to the time about doing rescue somewhere :)

You can't go wrong with a GP boat, there's plenty in the boathouse, alternatively, you could do it in a Canadian, get one or two more people to do it with you. If you feel comfortable in a wavehopper, get onto the marathon committee, they'll lend you a Fastwave (Exo version of the Perception Wavehopper) if they have any spare.

Don't the Wild Water Racing Committee own them?

Anyway, that's a great idea. They're good and the club's composite boats really aren't up to doing the Liffey Descent anyway.

Interested in doing this. Have been training all summer  ;).

Unsure if my request for the Gola before summer was formal or informal?

I think this post has gone a little all over the place...
Andy mentioned the one on the 6th of September, which is the Junior Liffey Descent.

The full one is on the 4th of October :)

The 6th is the junior Liffey and if you don't feel like paddling the whole race, Benny is looking for rescue
