Some of the less paddled rivers in Wicklow.

This weekend and last I paddled a few of the less paddled rivers in the guide book. Here's a few photos

It was a mixed bag of paddling. In sequential order.

Yet again I went to the Upper Liffey and it was too low.

The Shankhill river looks nasty.

The Annalecka Brook looks very dodgy but can be easily walked around. Approx 1km hike in to Kings River.

The Kings river is great craic and should definitly be paddled more often as an alternative to the Annamoe. I would like to paddle the next section down to Lockstown bridge at some stage.

Parts or the river Ow are well worth doing. Best sections are from above Aghavanagh bridge down to the confluence with the Ballinagappogue Brook.

The section of the Avonbeg from Drumgoff bridge to Strand Bridge is full of trees and not worth paddling. Probably best to get on at Strand Bridge and paddle as far as Ballinaclash or the Meetings of the Waters.

And the maps to go with those river. I'll add a map for the river Ow later.
