LIFTS FOR VARSITIES
« on: January 06, 2017, 12:42:44 »
VARSITIES are just around the corner so its time to get your lifts sorteddd.

Unfortunately due to huge budget cuts across UCD the club is very tight on cash. So in an effort to keep the costs down for everyone in the club we are going to run varsities as a cars trip. The van will hopefully (waiting for confirmation) be going down along with the trailer to accommodate boats so the cars will only be transporting people.

SOOOOO....  If you can drive down for the weekend it would be much appreciated. You will be awarded with love and admiration by your fellow peers and compensated for your petrol use throughout the weekend.

So guys if you want to go to varsities you need to get on to the drivers listed below to organise a lift for yourself. Please be reminded you will be paying the driver fuel money for your trip up and down to Belfast. Once you have organised a lift please confirm on the forum so we can put you down for definite. Also to ensure there is bed space available for you

So i was thinking i'll probably come to varsities. (anyword on fancy dress theme)
as i'v never been to northern ireland.

i guess it's still worth going to even if i have to drive. so ya, i can drive people*.
Space for 3 people, or 4 if people want to be tight on space.

will i be doing rescue for anything?
im grand with doing rescue for long distance, but would rather not have to bring my boat or paddles. (i.e. can i borrow boat and paddles if im doing rescue)

*im not and never will be 100% certain im going

To those driving, it might be an idea to bring your log books and insurance certificates along. Nordy police might be mean and not as sound as the guards

If I'm going to varsities then I'll actually be heading straight from Dublin between 8 and 9 on Friday evening as I'll only just be back from a work trip. I would love to bring up stragglers.
