Varsities Bid 2018

(1/4) > >>

sara griffin:
So guys it will be coming up to our turn to host Varsities in the next few years so the committee would be looking to host varsities next year as we feel we would be in the best position to host it next year.  So if we were to hold Varsities next year we would be looking to gather a Varsities Committee to organise the event. This committee would be totally separate to the main committee.

So if we were looking to bid for Varsities we would be looking for volunteers to be on this committee. If there is not enough people we will leave the bid for another year. Everyone volunteering for the committee will have a role to play in organising the event from entertainment, finance, kayaking events etc. There's no guarantee we would get to host Varsities but just to know we would have people to help if the situation arose.

If you are interested please put your name down below. Put your name down fast cause I need to know before I go into the Captain's meeting on Sunday.

Worm:
I would deffo be interested in helping out :) . I wont be able to help out much in semester two because of placement. But would be around in semester 1.

Poopy Dick:
I'll also be on placement sem2, but I reckon I'll be around. I'd imagine most will be finished by then anyway.

Stick my name down 😁

kmck:
Just to say that most of the organising is done over the summer, not during term time. This means you're not scrambling to do things in the first semester.

It's better to have one person from the club committee to be on the varsity committee to act as representative and source of communication.

I can provide the committee with all our stuff from we hosted including the different plans that we put together. Along with what worked, what didn't and some budget advice.

I won't be volunteering for the committee but your welcome to ask the TDU and EAG of leave no trace for help, both of which I'm currently secretary for.

Mark Hoare:
yeah put my name down, ill be around to help
