MERRY KERRY MY DUDES!!!!

(1/7) > >>

Bláthnaid:
Lads and ladies! It’s nearly time! Before we know it exams will have come and gone, (as will Emma Clune) And we'll be headed down to Ring of Kerry holiday homes from the 27th Dec to the 1st of January, for a week of seshing and kayaking.

This is one of the most looked-forward to trips of the year, and will be filled with great nights out, river trips, pizza, a pub quiz and a truly class New Years party. People tend to dress up for the party (Jack is very excited to bust out his waist coat once again) so remember to pack your Sunday best to avoid feeling left out

The price will be different for everyone according to how many nights you're staying:
1 night: €25
2 nights:€50
3 nights:€70
4 nights:€85
Full thing:€100
IBAN is: IE10BOFI90410639168177.
If you are transferring the money make sure you sign your name on the transaction or you will be hunted like the animal you are.

This will include:
- Accommodation. This will be tight so be prepared to share beds, ayy lmao.
- Breakfast and dinner, to be cooked by our *definitely qualified* chefs
- There is no bus for this trip, unfortunately (you’ll have to catch up on your drinking on arrival) so ye’ll have to make yer own way to Kerry

Now, in case your mammy is no longer packing your suitcase, please bring:

•   Money for any snacks, chocolate, alcohol etc

•   For kayaking: Warm clothes!!!! (avoid cotton at all costs! It makes you very, very cold when you’re wet). Anything made out of 'poly-' materials is a good bet!  Fleeces are great! Fleecy pyjamas are even better! Tights make a good layer, especially to pop over your fleecy layers before trying to put on a wetsuit (even the lads should consider investing!!) If you have a wetsuit bring it! If not, the club has a small selection of them...try to get to the boathouse on time to get first pick!

You can never, ever have enough layers!!!
So here’s your essential guide to keeping nice and toasty on the river ; http://forum.ucdcanoeclub.com/index.php/topic,10222.0.html

•   A pair of old shoes! (Or wet booties if you have them). If you don't have a pair, pop into your local Penneys or Tesco and pick up a pair of cheap shoes!

•   Towel(s) and warm, dry clothes for all days you’ll be there!

•   Any medication you may be on so that Bláthnaid doesn’t panic if you go into anaphylaxis

NB if you have not been at a pool session you must attend one before going to Kerry to do a capsize drill and swim test, but a river trip is not a prerequisite to coming.

If you have any questions at all feel free to message the page on fb or email ucdcanoeclub@gmail.com
