Constitutional Ammendments

[Unit Bill]

Deadline for constitutional amendments is Tuesday the 30th of March as all proposed changes have to be posted in the agenda 10 days prior to the AGM.

Amendment 1:

Changing of the current Public Relations Officer description and addition of Events and Ents officer.

Current PRO description:
"The Office of Public Relations is to publicise the club and its activities both within the club and college, and externally as the committee deems necessary. The office of Entertainments shall be to organise all club social events. The office of Fundraising shall be to create a year-long plan for club fundraising projects and to delegate these projects to club members"


Proposed new pro description:
"The Office of Public Relations is to publicise the club and its activities both within the club and college, and externally as the committee deem necessary. The office of Fundraising shall be to create a year-long plan for club fundraising projects and to delegate these projects to club members"


Proposed description for Entertainments officer:
"The office of Entertainments responsibility will be to organise all club social events. They will organise that there is a committee member to attend and host events if they themselves are unable to attend. They will estimate expenditures of events and confer with the committee if the costs for an event are within budget and reason for a club social activity. They will request for the PRO to acquire sponsors for events that they see fit.
The entertainments officer will organise the activity timetable for club trips away such as freshers and colours. They will be required to book the social spaces where the event will take place with the confirmation of the officer of the Treasurer.
The office of entertainments (abbreviated as ENTs Officer) can be nominated if they are a current member of the UCD Canoe Club be it an enrolled student, member of UCD staff or within their year of grace with the club.  "

Current Committee Structure:
"The running of the club shall be entrusted to a committee consisting of nine members. A Senior Treasurer will act outside the committee as detailed below."

Proposed New Committee Structure:
"The running of the club shall be entrusted to a committee consisting of ten members. A Senior Treasurer will act outside the committee as detailed below."

If you want this added Maríosa you'd have to make it more formal than this. I've added a link to a previous constitutional amendment. Format is important as this will literally be what is going in the Constitution. Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe we need more "peeeaaace and lovvve" and kiss emojis in the Constitution

Something in this format would be along the lines of

And then in the agm the vote will be to make this entire amendment or not.

As new committee position nominations needs to be posted 10 days before the general meeting, you'd also need to vote this position in in another different meeting.
