You could soak the corners in nutrients and suck on them on long boring Journeys.

You could capture small security robots.

You could use it as a type of parachute to slow your descent after you jumped out of a 32nd floor window.

You could use it to dry yourself.

thanks for the advice brendino. I'v located the towel (in the boat house(thanks holly)) and will cretainly have it with me next time I go hitch hikng.
