hey all, the following are the teams we have for varsities.. if anyone really wants to take part in an event they aren't down for give me a call or post here and we'll see what we can do.. we're still looking for a couple of people for the long-distance....

POLO

Alberte
Emmet
Cheesy
Keiran
Dave Cox
Caoimhe
Meabh
Claire

WHITEWATER

Tom
Jenny
2 others- either colin, eoghan, caoimhe or fergal.

RODEO

Emmet
Dave Byrne
Tom
Meabh

LONGDISTANCE

Male Fibreglass- Killian

Female Fibreglass- Louise Clarke

Male Plastic- any volunteers?
Female Plastic   - volunteers

Open Canoe (double)- claire and caoimhe
                                 lolly and sorcha
K2- Holly and Kate

C2- any volunteers?

The polo team will be heading up early on Friday, the rest of ye can get the bus which is leaving at 3 sharp from the boathouse. There won't be a club trip this weekend so if you aren't competing in one of the events you don't need to take up your canoeing gear.
oh and spaces on the bus are running out pretty fast so if you don't have your deposit in soon you could be getting there by way of CIE and an extra €20 cost to you.

Hope your all working on your costumes!

ok a couple of things:

jenny, see http://forums.ucdcanoeclub.com/viewtopic.php?t=2559 for all the details of the whitewater

claire, we dont have the boats to enter in K2 and C2 (the topo will only count in one category)

siobhan (and any other drivers), i'll put up a bunch of maps for belfast either tonight or tomorrow. it takes about 2 1/2 hours from the airport to get to belfast (i say from the airport cos i take no responsibility for how long it'll take you to negociate the M50 carpark)

claire (again), Irish Rail are ggrrrrreat!!

The plastic classes allow for a wavehopper in the long distance. I have access to one of these if the club wants it. It's the one you paddled that time, Caoimhe.

no wavehoppers aren't allowed. i know this because DCU talked about it for an HOUR at the captains and secretarys meeting while i curled up in the corner with a hangover
