Hey Guys.

Just a head's up that if you want to keep up kayaking (which obviously you do) It would be a good idea to buy yourself a longjohn wetsuit, some soled neoprene booties and a few skintight thermals(we recommend the longjohn as a steamer does not give you a great amount of freedom of movement).  You can get a 10% discount in Great Outdoors with  your membership card (and if you dont have one hassle fuzzy!).

As for thermals - the best place to buy these is the likes of lidl / aldi when they have deals and dunnes / penneys. The thermals in great outdoors are way too expensive.

Buying some nice thermals and your own wetsuit will make a huge difference in the winter months to how much you enjoy the river. Next saturday its very likely that we wont be supplying wetsuits for the river so its worth looking into getting one for yourself.

I have a wet suit and a cag, that I will lend to somone if they ask nicely and give it back to me. Other than that I have three fleeces still from when Dee left her house, so they will be out as well. Other than that to any fresher ask an older memeber of the club if they have spare gear on thursday night.
