Peegor seeks boat advice
« on: August 23, 2007, 14:12:54 »
Hey guys,

i have been thinking about getting a boat for the entire summer now but well i was lazy and now that the club is coming back together i am going to go and have a good look around for one. However, i could do with some much needed advice on which boat would suit me best. I have gotten really good help from people already from the club but the more the better.

Cheers

The main questions to ask are as follows:
Do I want to buy a new boat or second hand?
What weight and size foot am I?
What kind of paddling do I want to do? Mostly whitewater, usual club runs or playboating
What is my level of boating and where do I want to go next and will this boat hinder or help that progression?
So that's Money, physical and mental.
My answer would be a river running playboat rather than river runner creek. Certainly not an out an out playboat.
