DETAILS:It's on the weekend after this, October 12th, 13th, 14th. We're heading to Carlow and staying at the Otterhault Hostel. Plan is to go mad on Fri, on Sat go paddling on the Barrow and have a fancy dress night, then go paddling again Sun. Whoop woop!
Freshers weekend is always epic, the whole club goes and it's wild! The cost is €60 for everything; transport, hostel, breakfast on Sat & Sun, dinner on Sat, paddling gear & some free booze.
Happy days. You'll need an inventive
fancy dress costume. There is no specific theme, last year we had ones like an apple pie, a bag of jelly beans and a mermaid. You'll also need to bring warm clothes, your paddling gear and a maybe a sleeping bag (bit of a shortage of beds!). And alcohol of course... lots! If you don't want to go paddling on Sat or Sun, it's no problem. We have plenty of social members.
There is a limited number of places so
start getting your €60 to Pia or Cian now. First paid, first coming! You can give it to them at Pool Sessions, on the Saturday Trip or at the Lunch Board 1-2pm every day next week (yellow sculpture in Arts block, near the girls' toilets).
We'll be meeting in the Student Bar at 4pm on Friday 12th, and getting the bus from there. There will definitely be some earlier starters for drinking, so keep an eye on the forum for info on that. BRING DRINK for the bus & weekend- NB.
