"To Whome it may concern,

...i am unfortunately handing in my resignation as Treasurer which will take effect immediately.

This has been something that i have been thinking about for a few months now and since being back in College it has something that has always been on my mind. As you know i am in Final Year and to me that is my main priority. I am aiming to achieve a top grade in my Degree this year.

My intetnion this year was to committ alot of time to the Canoe Club. However as events have unfolded over the past 4 weeks I have found myself being burden with alot of College Work and this is impacting on my involvment with the canoe club.

In the upcoming weeks and months, i have many assignments, reports, projects to complete. I have to prepare my CV and i also have to fill in many application forms for companies and doing alot of interviews. After seeing the level of involvment that i have to give to College and UCDCC i have had to make this decision and resign from my position as Treasurer as i would not be able to committ fully to my duties.

This is not something that i am saying and will regret. I have thought about this continuosly over the last weeks and unfortunately will not be able to continue. I will of course be here throughout the year but not as much as previously hoped.

this is a copy of the letter resignation which i received last week. The club will hold an EGM on Wednesday the 15th of october to fill the position.

fair play peegor nobody will fault you for wanting to concentrate on your degree. committee is very time consuming and it's good of you to admit when you know you wont be able commit to the job. you will always be scrooge mc duck to us *sniff sniff*  :( i nominate anyone who wants to be treasurer.
