awesome! I just found out that new year's eve is a blue moon! and not even a real blue moon. It's only going to be a blue moon in places from about Pakistan westwards. take that east Asia!

now how can we twist this pointless calendar event into something actually worth celebrating above and beyond a normal new year?

oooh we can do a countdown to 19:13h dec31 AND to 00:00h jan1!  ;D
