You get a 10% discount in Great Outdoors on kayaking equipment as an ICU member. ICU membership also means you are covered by the ICU's 3rd Party Libaility Insurance policy. There's more details on the ICU website here

So is it worth it someone like me getting it if i am not really going to be competing in any leagues or doing any instructor courses? and i already have a 10% discount from climbing!
not sure what the insurance stuff means...
