broke
a Galasport- Whitewater Exas Multi Kayaking Paddle
Glass bladehttp://www.greatoutdoors.ie/product_info.php?cPath=236_33_56&products_id=28465

Bout 3 inches up on the blade there is a tear across the blade and the rest of it is hanging off.
Paddle is obviously unusable at the moment.

any suggestions on how to fix it other than super super glue? ( don't have a heat gun- it'd be ideal)
or does one simply buy a new paddle?

its a club paddle at home and would only ever be used on flat water if it gets fixed in case anyone thinks im completely stupid using a broken paddle for proper stuff...........

Thanks. 8)

don't worry colm I've always thought you were stupid...  :D ;)

On a serious note, I'd imagine a heat gun would do the job  8) :)

My robsison broke along the spigot, I used a thin sheet of metal to rejoin the broken section to the main blade then rivetted and covered it with a plastic glue has lasted for the last four years as a spare set for everthing up to level 3 water no problem.

cheers lads.
i used a urethane based glue called aquasure. it worked i  (hope) think but need to test it out on the water. might glue some thin metal to close up whatever hole is left.
thanks again
