Hey guys,
This might be of interest to some people who want to go for their L5.

Following the success and demand for the Level 5 Skills Assessments at the start of the summer run in Itlay, and the usual challenges in organising these assessments in Ireland, we will be running a Level 5 Skills Assessment in Scotland on the 22nd & 23rd October 2010.

The assessment price is the same as it would be back home, however you would have to sort out your transport and accommodation over there.  We usually stay in a hostel in Fort William which I think cost about €15-€20 a night.  There will be a big gang going over for both Level 5 Training and Assessments so you should be able to car pool over on the Ferry.  We have checked ferry costs, at present the return Ferry Costs €230 for a van with one adult, €330 for a van with 3 adults, or €330 for a car with 4 adults.

If you have completed your Level 5 Skills Training within the last few years and have completed or are close to completing the assessment pre-requirements you may be interested in going forward for assessment by submitting your logbook as soon as possible.  There are currently 2 places available on the assessment.  Details and an application form fro the assessment can be found here.
