FRESHERS WEEKEND!!!!!!!

WHERE? DROGHEDA- KAYAKING THE BOYNE WOO!

WHEN? FRIDAY-SUNDAY! trailer packing begins at 1pm, meeting at the boathouse, come help out and bags yourself the nicest gear and boats! then 3pm people will be in the student bar (3euro drinks yay) make sure to be at the student bar by 6pm because the bus will be leaving soon after from outside engineering! back on Sunday around 5 or 6!

BRING
For kayaking:
Towel (unless ali decides to fix you up)
Togs
Thermals (fleeces, tights work well for keeping your legs warm, thermal tops/trousers, NEVER anything woolen or cotton etc but basically anything made from artificially material whose name begins with poly or something similar)
IF YOU HAVE THEM-wetsuit and whatever kayaking gear you might have (club has everything if you don't)
A badass attitude ;-)

OTHER-
DRINK-lots of drink(CLUB HOOCH!!!!) will be provided on the Saturday night, but bring drink for the friday!! and extra for sturday (no worries there will be shops)
FOOD-Food will be provided, obviously no dinner on the Friday as we don't be getting there late so eat beforehand, but bring spare food incase you are likely to get hungry (once again there are shops)
FANCY DRESS COSTUME- probably the most important thing here, skip food and kayaking JUST MAKE SURE YOU BRING THIS!- fancy dress on the saturday night. EPIC. (and slighlty disturbing depending on some peoples costume choices.... see below for further details)
some money, we will probably be heading out to the pub on the Saturday to scare the locals so bring a bit of money or incase you want to get anything from the shop
sleeping bag. optional. should be beds and duvets, just if your worried theyll run out, or want to be extra warm

I suppose it's ok, about on par with watching paint dry. AWESOME MULTI COLOURED JAPANESE TAMAGOCHI BEN AFLECK PAINT, but still paint.


I got the inspiration for the Ben Afleck part cause I'm watching Pearl Harbour. Yeah!!

Well if we're the Japanese, Drogheda is pearl habour then it is a very good description of what is about to happen.

For Kayaking
Bring a smile, it's very important to smile on the river. If you stop smiling we then know something is wrong. Probably I've just told a joke and you're just politely waiting for the tumble weed to float by.

For everything else
Write the word dignity on a piece of paper, over the weekend you'll do things that will force you to tear a strip off. I don't want to see a shred of dignity by sunday night.
