Flatwater rescue day
« on: March 03, 2011, 12:01:41 »
Hi would any fresher or second year who wants to do more rescue on the river want to do a flatwater training day over the mid-term break. I am available on 12th or 13th or on the 26th.
We'd run through capsize drills, x-rescues, assissted x-rescues and super happy fluffy bunny rescues(unconcious rescue). Some towing practice as well? Also if you haven't got your level 2 we could run through that as well.

I'm going to say the 12th but if spring brake rolls around I'll push it back to the end of the month. If it clashes with anything else we'll move it to suit you guys, if it drifts to the end of the month we can always do it on a sunday

The "PLN"
Meet at the boathouse at 10:00am
Get gear load car head to dunlaoirghe(deeper water)
Start time 11:00 am
Finish time around 2:00pm to 3:00pm depending on how we are doing for time and how cold you guys are.
Bring all the paddling gear you have, termals, and some food and maybe a hot drink.

I am going to charge a small amount for this to cover parking in Dunlaorghie €3ish and it will €5 to do the level 2 assessment.

Anyone of you guys have a car? As there are four people interested plus me making five, now while I would try to carry five boats on the roof four people and gear in the car will lead to no exhaust on my car!
Anyone Logging hours want to come along to see a level two assessment more than welcome.
