Title: REC3 Interest

Heya guys, my REC3 is up in February sometime, so I was thinking of getting it renewed. Anyone interested? It'll be across a full weekend, and we need 12 to run one I believe.

I have planned absolutely nothing, so if people want to throw out suitable dates for this, then go for when expressing interest!

Following dates maybe of interest to people. March 1st is the TDU AGM and we will be running CPD's that day which would be of use to all level 2 instructor trainees, instructors and level 3 instructors/trainees. I'd be interested I was thinking since it's a renewal we could try and combine it with RSR course as well. 16 hours is needed to renew the REC 3. So my idea would be a Friday evening, Saturday to do the REC renewal and then do a day of on the water scenarios on the Sunday.

There is probably a better way of doing a meeting type schedule thing but I keep thinking moodles which is wrong

Most REC 3 courses happen over 3 days, a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Everyone I've ever been on allow you to do the REC 3 without the REC 2 mainly they ask a small amount of first aid knowledge but really everything that happens on the course is designed for someone with little or no knowledge.

They've also have become more focussed on the practical application and using what you have rather than classroom/ video that a lot of first aid courses use.

Kieran, I'd say to get the numbers up, this will be a normal REC3, rather than a renewal.

Yeah, technically you would Jean, but I'll be doing the full yoke if no refreshers are around. I think it ran out there at the start of February, by the way.

The 28th and 29th are probably going to be cpd's and TDU AGM. We are moving the date. April 4th and 5th might work. Yes you can do this without the REC 2
