Title: New boat?`
Post by: Monkey Loving Bob on January 31, 2010, 12:08:45
Hey guys,

a couple of people here have been mentioning buying a new boat for the last while. The Pyranha Burn is going cheap at the moment - GoDs are out of them but Kipper and Brian Keogh have a few left. Not many so I'd contact them if you want one any time soon. The old model is apparently going to be discontinued so snap 'em up...

Laters,

C

Yeah I've been on to Kipper - there's not many left at all. I should hopefully be getting one off him this week

I was going to ring him to try get one, I went into GoD's yesterday and got to sit in one which had a deposit payed on it. They don't do an ICU discount though, do they? €850 is a lot of money.

I still haven't had a chance to try one out yet though...

€850 isn't actually that much for a brand new boat you could pay alot more.

Doubt they'll do an ICU discount on a boat but ask anyway.... think i got €50 off mine for just asking  :)

They were doing the ICU discount in GoD's, not that I've received a membership card yet...

Saw this while browsing Irish Freestyle for second hand kayaks.

I don't want to drop 850 euro on a boat that I haven't paddled yet though.

No bother, in response to previous posts - GODs don't offer an ICU discount on boats. Nothing to say you shouldn't chance your arm though...

Kipper and Keoghser are also stocking AT paddles, now that is a sexy shiny new toy!

its tough to get discounts on boats, especially when they're already discounted (not that its not worth a try). buy ya can ask for stuff like airbags, karabieners, slings and so on to be thrown in to sweeten the deal, in fairness you'd probably use the money from the discount to buy more kayaking stuff anyway.

Jer, if the other places won't give you a discount or run out there's another burn.
