Title: Dun Laoighre 27-09-15

When: Sunday 27th September
Where: West Pier Dun Laoighre
Time: 9:45am at the Dart Station or 10:00am at the West Pier

We’re heading on our second outing to Dun Laoighre this Sunday so another great opportunity to get out on the water. We are hoping to be off the water by 2pm. We’ll be in plenty time to watch the Ireland game!!! There will be some snacks and warm juice afterwards  :)

How to get there:

The DART will bring you right there!
If you're coming from campus, the 46a bus is your best bet and will leave you off at the Dun Laoghaire DART station too (last stop)!
Other buses that will get you there are: 7, 7a, 8, 45a, 46a, 59, 75, 111

There will be a member of the club waiting at the dart station with a paddle or else walk down to the West Pier to the trailer full of boats.

What you need:
•   € 5 and €20 if you have not already paid membership.
•   Some thermal clothes. Avoid cotton at all costs, it soaks up water and makes you very, very cold! Materials that start with 'poly-' are the way to go! Fleeces and tights (even for the guys!) are brilliant additions as well  Bring an old pair of shoes that you don't mind getting wet and if you have a wet-suit, bring it along! If you have an old light rain jacket that you don't mind getting wet, they work nicely to stop the wind giving you a chill!
•   A towel and dry clothes for afterwards!
•   Some money for some sandwiches/pizza/tea/coffee/anything warm that you may want!
•   Coins for the bus/ DART
For anyone who hasn't been to a pool session yet, you‘re still more than welcome to come along. Just let the instructors know that you haven't been and they'll organise for you to do a short swim test and capsize drill out there

Hey I'd be up for coming although complete newbie here and haven't done this cap size drill malarkey (sounds cold).  But I have a tri wetsuit so I should survive. :)
