Its raining in dublin more then wicklow as well this week so liffey should be nice enough level!!!

Glad to see you correct yourself without any encouragement ;-)

More correcting for you, lets face it your sick, very sick, and it will take more than a few days to fix that mind. See you at the liffiy then off intime for the french game maybe.
-
eh..anyone else wondering about the cold...no? just me?
-
oh...and I wont be at the pool either...

It helps me cope with this club!!
Sure we went out on that Cold Day Lucy, remember that? That was cold and I swam twice. Twice....twice
-
yeah...I was there. Which is why I remember promising myself I'd never do it again.
-
I love paddlin in sub-zero temperatures me
-
Mmmmmm, toasty warm onesie inside a toasty warm drysuit, mmmmmm...
That's probably what I'll wear while having a nice warm cup of tea in my sitting room as you all go to the liffey :-)
that or I'll go too, who knows...
-
let me know if you're doing the tea thing!! ill bake a cake and bring it over :)
-
To quote a rather infamous character 'I'll do the baking if you get baked!!!'
-
i am up for coming
-
For once i like the sound of tea & cake instead of paddling :) I was at Sluice last Sat & it was FREEZING!!!
Lets go drinking 2night & have a hang over day in Kylies :) I havent been drinking since Kerry! :o
-
Are you volunteering your house for the drinking or is that just a general suggestion?
-
Nope my house is currently being redecorated so its a no go... twas trashed enough after Asho b-day & nobody helped clean up except Amanda... in fact the garden is still full of broken glass, no more open invite parties i'm afraid!!
I have heaps of booze for drinking in a house but i wouldnt mind even going to town :)
-
my house is currently being redecorated
Consider it as help redecorating
-
No thanks
-
Any volunteers for a house?

Isn't that the canoe club party way? You host a party, people come, people get wasted, people make a god-awful mess, then they get up and go paddling the next day.
-
Thats the way it seems to have become, tis a pity. We have a hell of alot less parties these days because of that!
-
All I remember from my first few years is, party like mad till about five in the morning, grab some floor, wake up start sorting bottles and cans then start the cleaning. Do breakfast and then leave. It was most of the people who stayed there that did the cleaning as well not just one or two reliables.
-
where's this to, if its the liffey(sluice) i'm in!!!... someone give us shout in the morning please.
-
Alas, no me! I have a hurty arm! Shitehawk!
-
You can all see the snow and ice right? RIGHT?! seriously people, there's enthusiasm and then theres just insanity.
-
You missed it Lucy, it was a great day!!! The snow was frozen solid so it wasn't so bad!!! Plenty of swimmers too, Rodge, Karen, Cian, Nuala. Great day lads!!!
-
Don't forget Shirley doing a t-rescue on Finch. This is the part when I would normally say thanks to the instructors and the rescue...so thanks Dave and Greg. You guys were great instructors. And also to Matt, ClÃodhna and Shirley for being fantastic rescue:D
-
And also the Eoghan and Aengus for rescueing Leighton
4/6 rescue swam versus 2/6 freshers (1 saving me - thanks shirley)
Something doesn't seem right ??? :P
-
Eoghan rescued me but only because him and Aengus couldn't get the X-Rescue!!! I only swam because of Dave. Damn reverse ferry-gliding.
-
That was all your fault! ::) :P
Thanks everyone! Fun trip!!:D
-
Bah... >:(
-
ye leighton u werent making it easy for us ;Dthanks to everyone!particularly the rescue who decided to swim a few times to help us practise!(at least thats what im guessing they did it for! ;D)
-
We decided we wanted a weekend off after the absolute carnage that was last saturday...
-
woah! where did all these swims happen? i want details! man i think i'm glad i didn't go paddling this weekend, waaay too cold.
-
Rodge was at Sluice!! Don't know about Nuala now but Cian and Karen at Lucan Weir, Cian's blades went for a bit of a swim!! The thing is, none of the freshers swam on the features!!
-
ha ye and a good few rescue swam more than once! :)
-
Nuala was at Lucan as well
-
I hope you guys at least were all swimming on the boxes.... otherwise i'm seriously worried :-\
-
Ha no no, just surfing at the bottom! I think Karen at sluice is also on the list of swims if I'm not mistaken?!! ::) :D
-
i think the club should introduce swim beers, would make the bus ride back even more interesting!!!
