Title: Saturday the 30th of January!!!
Post by: rog on January 27, 2010, 18:13:11: Hey guys so following on from last Saturdays savage trip we're gonna head to the Liffey this saturday!!! Sluice to wrens

Same scÃƒÂ©al as usual be at the boathouse at 10.00 a.m., leaving 10.30 sharp.

Liffeys releasing a good bit of water these days so should be a savage trip.

And after you freshers have improved your skills in wicklow you should be ready for the awesome boxes!!! Woo!!!!

Note: If there are limited spaces for logging hours on the assessment, it would be my feeling that those who are aiming to take their instructor assessment soon and need to make up their requirements quickly should get preference for the places, but we will try to accommodate as many people as possible.

Even if we don't manage to get them out this weekend I'd encourage people to give them a go - they are interesting and you are more likely to win shiny medals if you race in one.

As for practising racing boats, you should try them all out to see if you can get the one that doesn't sink. You don't win races when you're carrying half of the river with you and you have to stop a few times to empty it. (fibreglass repairs are easy to even the most bizarrly of untalented idiots by the way)

Can't wait until I get my L3 so I can sit around making kayaking puns all day. This years freshers must be getting close to the stage where they can do a level three test by now, right? I'll just do it with them.
