Hey guys!! just noticed on Friday that the seams of my wetsuit are looking fairly dodgy and are starting to rip. I was just wondering if anyone has any wetsuit tape lying around that I could possibly borrow? Cheers!
-
Probably best to glue the seams with seal saver or black witch. Don't know if you can get tape by itself, either way you'll need glue.
-
cheers peter!
-
You do get tape with glue already on it... http://www.ewetsuits.com/acatalog/wetsuit-repair-tape.html
-
that's what i'm looking for jocano! ;D
-
Couldn't we get some for the club? Those wetsuits might need some repair anyway? Quippy?
-
Somehow read this as wetsuit rape.. had to check it out :L
-
I'll look into it Jocano.
-
Think some of those wetsuits have gone beyond repair for some reason....
-
Some, maybe not all, salvage what we can . .
-
Black witch is your man for fixing wetsuits!
-
I never knew this product existed. Is it strong enough to properly fix rips or is it just used to tape seams etc?
-
think its to reinforce the seams as far as i know... its already on my wetsuit in places since i bought it, and they havent budged so it seems fairly decent stuff!
-
I never knew you could buy this tape in small amounts. Would be handy for replacing the seams on stray decks too.
-
Not sure if it'll stand the tension of a spraydeck? But if you do it early enough it could probably be a good reinforcement..
-
Just realising, Peter... Are stray decks the ones you find in back alleys? Can they be tamed and used on domestic boats as well?
