Title: Hell of the West
Post by: sara griffin on June 13, 2016, 09:46:07
So ULKC are wondering if any of UCD paddlers would be interested in doing safety for the Hell in the West. The event runs for the weekend from the 24th-26th June. You get a very classy jacket in reward for your effort. This is all the information that is available at the moment.

It will take place in Kilkee in Co. Clare. UL have a hostel with 2 bed spaces left and you might be able to just squeeze in and grab a floor space.
Put your name down before Sunday 19th at 6pm if you'd be interested

From what I know of the safety for the weekend the deal is class - HOTW put ye up in houses, give you a jacket, and everyone has a big party. Then you sit on the water hungover for a few hours watching people suffer through a triathlon and allowing them to hang on your boat if they need a rest.
