Title: Saturday 27th October
Post by: bexifurr on October 24, 2007, 18:37:21
Make sure and put your name down, as we need to decide on 2 busses or 1. Plave on bus is guaranteed for anyone who puts their name down.

This week we will be doing the same trip as last week due to lack of rainfall anywhere else and the consistently good level on the Liffey.

We will be meeting at the boathouse at ten o'clock.

Grab your gear, put your gear in the boat, put your boat on the trailer, slap young waves on wooden bones, don't touch the laughter and away we go.

Don't forget to put your name down here or there may not be a seat for you on the bus...

I read on wikipedia the other day that it's not technically called a capsize unless you take a swim. that's not true, is it?

I've passed some of my finals purely by reading Wikipedia.

Everything I know about Legal Medicine, Public Medicine and Medical Ethics I learned on Wiki.

Hey guys, thanks for a great day out... ;D

Special thanks go to Greg, Joxer, Cian, Kieran, Mark....for dragging me out of the uisce and getting my boat back from far away.... 8) ::)

Cians was the most fun for me cos he told me to hang on and wrap my legs around him his boat... I nearly broke my arse on the rocks on the way to shore...gottra hug that boat tighter next time.. ;D

I know there were others who helped me out but I kinda lost count.... :-[

Cheers....

No need to thank them on the board.

However, looks like you got 5 pints to buy there.

This is why people say Kayaking is an expensive sport to be in ;)

Post was edited by Mark to remind people that they have to sign up for Saturday trips to ensure adequate transport is arranged. Trip was posted as Liffey - Sluice to Wren's Nest, same stretch as last weeks trip.

Trip was never announced by committee as a Boyne trip. Unfortunately there must have been some misunderstanding somewhere though, and it's a shame you couldn't make it.

Hopefully we'll see you next week, and you can come out and do your level 2 assessment :P

Freshers don't buy swim beers on club trips. If they did there would no rescue due to chronic liver failure.

Just to clarify Bex, it was kinda my fault, it was posted that the level 3 assessment was on the boyne, I just presumed that the club trip and level 3 assessment were at the same place... oops! Ill make sure to double check next time i want to go on a club trip!
