Hey Guys!
So for those of ye who don't know, Kerry is a bit different to every other club trip in that people will be making their own way down. It is UP TO YOU to organise your own lift down. Posting it here is not enough, you need to make contact with the drivers themselves and get confirmation :)
This thread is set up for drivers to post when they will be heading to Merry Kerry and to provide their details so that you can get onto them and sneak a lift.
So drivers, please post the following:
When you plan on going down and till what date
Where you will be driving from and where you can stop off
Spaces that you have
Boats if you have spaces for boats, please state how many :)
Contact Details
Remember to provide adequate petrol money to all those lovely people who are offering lifts down 8)
Also there will be NO TRAILER heading down to Kerry this year, so you also need to find a car for your boat and paddles!!! We are suggesting that whoever takes your boat down to Kerry, that you offer them €10 to cover to boat for extra petrol.

How does it work for people borrowing boats from the boat house? Would people bringing boats bring them from Dublin when they go home?
-
How does it work for people borrowing boats from the boat house? Would people bringing boats bring them from Dublin when they go home?
Yup :) ideally you'd go in the car with the person with your boat on the roof and you'd pay the one person petrol money. Otherwise you can give a few quid to someone with a spare roof space to put a club boat up for you whenever theyre putting up their boats and they'll bring it down for you
-
We will organise a day for people to come down at the end of exams to get boats :) otherwise it'll be through organising a time with me but I tend to travel to family a fair bit around Christmas so it'd be at awkward times...

Hmm, if anyone has roof racks that fit an Opel Astra H Estate 2004-2007 (I'm looking at you Marryanne! :D ) or for a Toyota Auris 2006+, I'd be able to bring boats too..
-
Does anybody have spare straps and then I could bring boats?

Ive a set of Lidl universal ones too (the ones that go on roof rails, http://www.daciaforum.co.uk/forum/uploads/monthly_05_2013/post-867-136921083354.jpg) but im pretty certain they don't fit the astra. I'll have to check when I'm home next.
