Anyone who has their Level 3 does not affect the 8 people restriction i.e. 8 low types plus any level 3 types.
The idea for this training is to get last year's freshers to be able to teach this year's freshers at Dún Laoghaire.
This means flat-water strokes and flat-water rescue.
This is so that the committee and the instructors can piss about inventing more and more exotic capsizes to look impressive with while the others can do all the work.
From what I hear, the Boyne was low last weekend and there has been no rain and the forecast is for no rain.
Met Éireann says:
There will be no rain.
This means a trip to our friend The Liffey.
We can either run it at Sluice or from Sluice to Lucan or (if there's lots of water) from Sluice to Wren's. We'll see on the day how we're all feeling.
Either way, meet at the boathouse at 11.

You'll be breaking one of our club's oldest and grandest traditions if you run a "training day"
Is this your grand training master plan finally about to spring into action????
-
Yay, count me in too!!!!
-
Well, I don't know benny ran a training day for the alps. Andy ran one, Greg ran a weekend. Meabh ran one or was it two weekends? Even before that in Ash's year there was a rescue training day at the end of the first semister. So what tradition are they breaking? Keep up the good work lads and enjoy yourselves on saturday.

The tradition of the dark days of the Cox Regime!
