Well we tried out the trim swift wave, you can see the video on the facebook page. The set up couldn't be simpler it is a series of manamade structure producing the wave and eddies.
Location wise it's only 45 minutes from UCD
Water quality is good
Parking is also good
There is a nice deli on the way into Trim for food
Wave will be there in low water levels
Very friendly wave
It is a shallow wave so flat spins, front surfing and some deeper moves but you will bottom out trying loops
I think this would be a great location for training and especially for first years at the end of the year to push them on further.
Will be back there in the future

Where exactly is it?
Feel like adding to the IWW description? Ah go on... http://www.iww.ie/river_guide/river.php?id=273

No where near that section of the Boyne. It's literally in trim.
Dropped pin

Just thinking there a race that's ran from navan to trim here every year, could be a very easy going river trip if one's stuck for somewhere to go with beginners

I assume you mean Trim to Navan, I doubt an upstream race is very fun? :P

See it's called trim to navan... But finishes in trim all the time so I just presumed they got the order mixed up 😜

Meant to ask, what river levels does it work at?

Low summer levels I believe

Well it was working at a low boyne level, by the look of things it would work even lower and would still work at a higher levels
