Hey Fun-bots!
Just a quick reminder that the Clare Glens Race is rapidly approaching.
In what will certainly be one of the most fun experiences in the last eternity, a bunch of folks will go down the wooshy bits, around the gurgly bits and over the fwompy bits in a bid to expedite more quickly than any of the other people who have been allowed out on day-release.
10.00 in the Glens car-park
This is obviously very weather dependent and will be confirmed or denied closer to the date.
Here's a picture of Nuala winning it last year.

is there a group heading down to this?
-
thinkin about it but i havent paddled it before so im not sure
-
hmm...it is very tempting alright.
I'm in the same boat with not having run it before...where does one find the time?
One could always do a sneaky run, first thing.
-
Never run it...

There were a feww people last year who got a run in that morning. Also you can run it for the first time during the race, Ken did that last year and was fine. This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d12_xuNH9pc) is actually a good summary.

I'd be happy enough to race it blind,
I'd just get a better time if I knew where I was going the whole way down.
