Title: Grand Canyon Trip
Post by: Mr C on August 16, 2010, 15:18:43
Wasn't sure how spaces on this were working out, but I have at least 3 spaces available. So who's interested?! If you're gonna kayak would need to be about level 4 standard. If you wanna just be on the raft you just need to be able to swim & be comfortable in whitewater.

Dates are 22 December to 7 January, 17 days on world class whitewater. Followed by a club trip to Vegas! I know costs are an issue for everyone so a rough outline is flights + ~$1000 in food/gear rental and fees.

Let me know soon though - I have to confirm people next month. For more information check out the trip website: kayakthecolorado.wordpress.com (http://kayakthecolorado.wordpress.com).

I would love to go but as you know I have some serious things to sort before I can say yes to anything. Is it first come first served with a deposit? If one was to pull out they'd lose the deposit or is there a cost per person element?

The application has to have the correct final number of participants with fee paid. I need this fee by 3 September. Yes, if you pull out you loose your deposit (though I think it may be possible to substitute someone). The food and raft/kayak hire and Indian Reservation costs will be divided out. Your travel costs are your own.

First come first served? Why not, seems fair. But you only have a few weeks to mull this scenery over!
