Title: Rafting.ie Charity Raft Race
Post by: MarieH on November 26, 2013, 16:40:47: 7th December 10am.
At the Sluice River Liffey Lucan.
They will supply the rafts & paddles. All you have to bring is your own gear.

Ladies & Gents heats.
Round 1 = Timed runs.
Top 3 rafts go into finals.
Teams of 6 in each raft .
The race starts above the weir and finishes at last rock piles.

Entry fee €5.00 per person .
All moneys raised will go to the Phillippines Relief Appeal.

Let me know if you're interested so I can register a team.

UCDSDSS (Screaming dead sheep in sombreros) made a great attempt at the timed heats...but unfortunately our 'baaaa-ing' wasn't strong enough and the fact none of us had ever sat in a raft before kinda got the better of us...

Dave O'Reillys team did a bit better but also unfortunately didn't make the final after a mysterious three seconds was added to their time...

And Maryanne's team did amazeballs and won the lady's competition! :)

Their going to have another race in March which should be some good craic! :)
