Title: Sheen river, Co Kerry. 2 - 3 - 4?
Post by: Peter O'Sullivan on December 02, 2017, 22:17:50
The Sheen finishes in Kenmare with the last drop being a handy 2nd run of the day.

Seeing as I have only paddled the last drop as a park 'n' huck so I'm not too sure about the rest of the river.
To do the last drop park beside this gate https://www.google.ie/maps/@51.8737998,-9.5620765,3a,75y,0.21h,57.98t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sraRkKKg1adqhNHRd5Dkmvg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 (https://www.google.ie/maps/@51.8737998,-9.5620765,3a,75y,0.21h,57.98t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sraRkKKg1adqhNHRd5Dkmvg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656) the walk about 100m up stream through the field to get in on river right.

The hole as the end is tidal and may give people a surprising about of down time even while in their creekers.

If you're looking to do the whole river there's more info http://www.iww.ie/river_guide/river.php?id=370 (http://www.iww.ie/river_guide/river.php?id=370) and in the old guide book too.
