If your are not competing in the liffey descent there is an opportunity to help out as rescue.
No matter what your level there are a number ways to be active in rescue, from bank to boat based rescue.
This year as a sweetener they are offering level 2 rsr training for rescue crews. This is an excellent offer to help you improve your rescue.
So if you're not competing and are in the country sign up I'll confirm closer to the the time location and numbers so sign up if interested.
-
I'll do it!
-
Quite interested too! :D
-
I'm thinking of racing this year.
-
I'm up for it
-
Up for it, just remind me closer to the date :)
-
I've signed up for the race in GP class. Making steady progress getting ready, even managed to roll the gola sprint with wings last night.
-
Need to know numbers for Benny, so sound off team
-
As you know I can no longer do safety for the descent.

Every thing is intact don't worry. Panic avoided
-
Still available
-
Okay I've nearly everyone I need one more person would be perfect but we're okay to go
Plan 1
People who need gear head from UCD will confirm weir soon, looks like wrens
I want to minamise cars if possible as the car park at wrns can cause issues for us sometimes
-
If needs be Kieran I don't mind bringing the trailer along.
-
Surely Wrens isn't much of an issue the day of the Descent - do they not talk to Straw Hall?
-
There will be divers, a swiftwater team and us that's a lot of people
-
Anyone going to the after party?
Also anyone thinking of camping?
-
Probably not - have you seen the forecast?

Forecast is terrible, planning to get a taxi home at the end of the night.
Also, are you racing?
-
Yup - I'm taking the regular Gola again
