There a female kayaking weekend organised by the ICU for 28th-29th of January. I went to one in Cork and it was fantastic.
There will be a slalom session outside Wild Water kayak club on the liffey on saturday 28th. Then a river safety and rescue session while we paddle down the anamoe, with practice for the Wacko Jacko boater x at the end.
For details and to register go to website (http://femalekayakingweekends.eventbrite.com/) or facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Female-Kayaking-Weekends/129045383859631)
They accommodate for all levels, and everyone ends up teaching and learning from everyone else, and you get to know some pretty cool women from all around the country. Anyhoo, I highly recommend going if anyone is about!

Would anyone be able to give a lift to the Annamoe for this on the sunday morning?
-
Is it covertly a course to train independent women who don't need no man?? 8)

I'll be heading so I can give lifts

Thanks Karen!
It says you need a sling, carabiner and throw rope though? I think I'll need to wait till closer to the time to know if I can.
-
Yup, I'll sign up during the week. We probably have enough slings to go around for those that don't have one.

True, I think between Nuala and myself we could equip an army! (or just one or two extra people...)
