Hey everybody!
Please sign up below if you are definitely attending on Saturday.
Specify: name, purpose: L2 assessment / L3 assessment / rescue&playboating
Assessment checklist
Warm layers:
you will definitely be asked to capsize (L2) or roll (L3), this is mandatory for the assessments so you will definitely need to dress warmly
Outfit a boat:
when you choose a boat make sure it fits you, adjust the footplates, the seat back, hip pads ...anything you can do to get the best fit. Those who turned up last Saturday mostly got that sorted for themselves, you guys take the same boats again (if they were good) and don't forget airbags
Decide which assessment:
anyone who is undecided please get in touch with me. I have individual feedback for everyone who was out last Saturday from the instructors. Cormac's group has a mixture of people who're ready for a L3 assessment and some who need more training.
Deadline for signing up: Wednesday 5pm
-> this date was announced for assessments a month ago so everyone has had plenty of notice
Warning: if you sign up after this there is no guarantee you'll get a place on an assessment
PRICE: details to be finalised, but expect to pay at least an extra €5

-> For a variety of reasons, the most significant of which is the fact that ratios on assessments are not flexible as they would be on normal training trips, I cannot include the last three people to sign up in the trip.
If you three want to turn up at the boathouse on the off chance that someone (form the L2 group only) does not show up, you can.
Hey y'all sorry about the short notice but Im definately not gonna be able for paddling this week. Hopefully next week.
Enjoy everyone! And best of luck to all those doing assessments, just have fun and show off, play the river!
Good luck!
BBQ in mine afterwards for whoever is interested! If the weather is shit we'll just have a big ass spicy chilli
also i am a giant turkey tickler....
