I saw Lidl are doing roof racks too... Not too sure what type of car they fit or anything but would be worth taking a look at if you are thinking of buying a set.
-
They'll fit some people's cars..
* cough * roisin *cough*
-
max weight on them is 90kg, think thats enough?
-
They all say max weight of much less than we put on them. Sure Multipla ones are max 50kg. And look what we've done to that beast.

A boat (usually) weighs less than 20kg, and you won't be carrying more than 4.

I will make the following observation, on holidays in france we would buy a cheap roof rack leading to many rooftastrifies on country roads. It is worth going to halfords and getting them to fit one for you. You can get thule roof bars and fitting kit for your car for under 100 quid. While for the most part Aldi kit is as good as the brand I've no idea how good these racks are but my experience with cheaper racks as taught me to be cautious.
